What happens when a client who has been working with a designer for years takes an entirely different direction? If the designer is a worthy one, he or she approaches that change with an excited but studied appreciation for a new opportunity to shine! Jeffrey Thrasher did just that when he transitioned a client from traditional digs to one of South Beach's most recognizable contemporary gems.
"I started editing what she had owned previously and introduced her to things that she was very excited about," Thrasher explains. "We used an eclectic mix of painted things that brought some fun into the new spaces and used iridescent fabrics to enliven the open and airy rooms." Saarinen, Wormley and Parzinger were brought into the light-filled surroundings, bringing soul to the chic spaces. This particular client has now moved on to a modern home in one of Miami's suburbs. "The furniture we chose for her ICON condo fits like it was bought for the new house," Thrasher remarks. "This is the benefit of buying furnishings with provenance - you simply can't go wrong."
