When clients call upon Jeffrey Thrasher to create luxurious spaces with ample charm, the designer intuitively knows that these will be exciting collaborations. In this particular project - a posh Miami Beach address - Thrasher combined sumptuous furnishings by Wendell Castle and Christian Astuguevieille with adroit vintage choices.
Thrasher built upon the initial connection with his client, whose personality he describes as happy, positive, upbeat and social, to create colorful spaces that are cheerful but not overdone. "I like to find beautiful finishes with a bit of history to them," Thrasher says. Even when the product is new, the textural qualities chosen by the designer stand out. Case in point, the brushed travertine floor that looks centuries old - it grounds the space and offers a warm counterpoint to the contemporary art and personable furnishings.
